Trips and special events   

We occasionally organise trips to local places of interest, like nearby villages and attractions. Trips to places further afield are also organised once or twice a year. In July 2001, COSCI organised a trip to Scotland by minibus from Colchester for a group of students.    

We also organise special events like an annual Christmas dinner -  last year 100 students attended on 8^th December 2001 - and a summer barbeque.

In addition, we organise regular joint events with other Christian organisations at Essex University (like the Christian Union, Anglican Chaplaincy and the Chinese Christian Fellowship). This includes a monthly World Café and regular special events at the chaplaincy.

This summer I was invited to a BBQ outside Colchester, organised by COSCI. It was  a nice, relaxing break from my dissertation

 work and an opportunity to meet new and old friends. The warmth and hospitality of the people involved were obliging.
